The advertising document in Repsol: its conservation and dissemination
Abstract
The aim of paper is to analyze the advertising materials created by Repsol since the company’s inception to the present day, and also to present the tools used for the safeguarding and archiving of those materials. The text is divided into two parts. First, there will be a brief summary on the history of the advertising materials in the Spanish hydrocarbon sector, beginning with the creation of the first companies in the sector and ending with the founding of Repsol in 1987. The second part will detail the particularities of the use of the Repsol’s Historical Photographic Archive and TEBAS, the two Document Management Systems that the company uses for the safeguard, conservation and access of its advertising assets.
