Innovation in museums: the use of digital media as an expographic resource

Abstract

The research aims to survey and analyze the media resources in use in the museums of Aracaju / Sergipe / Brazil, as a vector of information and interactivity between the public and the exposed collection. Using the bibliographic and survey research as methods, it was reviewed literature and concepts and their applicability in the museological context, the prospecting in the Museusbr database and the application of evaluation scripts in three Sergipe’s museum institutions namely: Centro Cultural Cidade de Aracaju, Palácio Museu Olímpio Campos and Museu da Gente Sergipana. Understanding that the expographic and innovation processes in museums should prioritize the institution's identity, revenue generation and maintenance processes and the search for partnerships with research institutions to realize low cost technologies accessible to the economic reality of museums.
