Study on the frequency of search and consultation of news by young people
Abstract
This study is connected to the interest about the informational behavior of young university students. Specifically, it focuses on the analysis of the frequency of searching and retrieving of news. This paper takes into account the reasons to access news. Also, media and modes of communication used by young people to get news are also analyzed. It also aims to establish a relationship between the frequency of access and the readiness to spread the news, and define the methods used for this purpose. The study is based on a survey conducted with a non-probability sampling of young university students. Among the results we highlight the high level of queries and the combined use of conventional and digital media, regardless of the frequency of access to news. Also the direct influence between the frequency of access and the dissemination of news by young people is also ruled out.Downloads
