Video Creation in Spain: Holders, Conservation and Documentation
Abstract
This paper studies the nature of the works of video and receiving treatment for preservation and documentation is currently within museum collections. Based on the information available in the network, we consider their medium and cataloging. This analysis reveals the characteristics of a medium of artistic expression based on audiovisual technology, and consistent with assets and production booming but whose specificity makes it differ from other audiovisual documents. Likewise addresses the main measures and solutions for preservation and dissemination as well as the relevance of the documentation of the works and their context to achieve the same ends.Downloads
