Implementation experience of Cumulus program: Focus management of sources for scientific and technical information.
Abstract
Cumulus is an application specifically designed to deal with scientific and technical information sources. It has been extensively tested by the students of the course of “Sources for specialized scientific and technical information” during the academic year 2009/2010, with significant results, both qualitative and quantitative, on a sample of international research centres, that have been intensively studied with the assistance of this application. Some of our conclusions mirror the importance of using applications that assist in the analysis and management of information sources beyond the pure bibliographical reference. On the other side some data are obtained that project the dynamism and continuous evolution of scientific sources, as well as their typology and thematic classification together with its relevance.Downloads
