Aspectos sociales de los usuarios en tratamiento con sustitutivos opiáceos en el CAID Este
Abstract
This article is based on a study developed during 2008 within the Eastern Office of the Centre for Integral Attention to Drug Addiction (Spanish acronym: «CAID»). The study focuses on the social characteristics and evolution of users in opiate substitution treatment from 1994 to June 2008. The social aspects selected for this study focus on socio demographic characteristics, place of residence and living situation, family relations, legal/criminal background, employment and economic status, social welfare attention history and the trajectory/evolution of the users in methadone hydrochloride treatment. The study sought the possible correlation of these social situations with the problem of consumption and the influence of replacement therapy on them. To accomplish this, similar parameters were analysed at the beginning of treatment and at the end of it. Empirical interest in this field springs from social intervention that has developed over the past fifteen plus years and developments at the theoretical, institutional, political, social, legislative, etc., levels that have developed over the last few decades.Downloads
