Abstract

Mª Ángeles Querol has dedicated a large part of her career, as a researcher and as a teacher, to archaeological heritage and feminist archaeology, opening doors to those of us who have been joining. In this way, our proposal is framed within the field of archaeological heritage dissemination from a feminist perspective. We focus on the Iberian heritage in which the province of Jaén is particularly rich and also has the “Journey through the Time of the Iberians” itinerary, one of the main showcases for presenting diverse aspects of those protohistoric societies. Twenty years after its inauguration, we believe that now is a good time to evaluate its penetration in society and to review, from the perspective of feminist archaeology, the discourses and images it currently transmits. Our objective is to propose multiple and innovative readings of the different archaeological sites that compose it and reflect on how inclusive collective memories can be generated to create models of learning from equality, for those who visit them.
