Silver "Philae" at the "Oppidum" of Titulcia
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to show an extraordinary silver phiale mesomphalos found in 2009 during the excavation campaign in the Iron Age settlement of Titulcia, a little village in the south of the province of Madrid. It was located almost complete and in good state of conservation and it is currently exposed at the Regional Archaeological Museum of Alcalá de Henares where an emergency restoration was carried out. This archaeological intervention was developed within the framework of the Visiting Archaeological Sites Project granted by the Council of Culture and Sport of the Community of Madrid.
