Settlement, Society and Economy in the Guadalentín Valley: the Site of Cerro del Castillo de Lorca Between the 5th Century BC and the 1st Century AD
Abstract
The ‘Cerro del Castillo’ of Lorca is one of the most important and unknown Iberian sites of the Region of Murcia, in theIberian Southeast. The aim of this paper is to analyze diachronically this site through the data provided by the archaeologicalworks carried out and, beyond the recovered material culture, to offer a first approach to the socio-political andeconomic role of this settlement in the landscape of the Guadalentín valley, placing it in the historical dynamics of theIberian Southeast between the 5th century B.C. and the 1st century A.D.Downloads
