Xoán Viaño (1960-1991) y su investigación en la expresividad musical
Abstract
Xoán Viaño was a highly talented composer who never to reached his maturity. In a short time, nevertheless, he was able to assemble an abundant catalogue of works, demonstrating a great variety of musical, genres and rich with regard to the techniques applied. His poetics reconcile historical tradition with contemporary solutions, from a perspective of great literary sensitivity and concern for expressiveness. This study presents a very selective survey of his compositional production, by means of an analytic commentary on different works. This text presents a revisionist view including a brief biographical portrait, an analytical survey of his music with some representative examples of his most common techniques, and some conclusions on the aesthetic implications of his output.Downloads
