Presencia de Aquilino Amezua en Valladolid. La introducción del órgano romántico
Abstract
Aquilino Amezua was the most distinguished organ builder and teacher of post-Romantic organ builders from the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth. At the same time, to him is due the honour of introducing the Romantic organ into Spain and initiating the creation of a national school of organ building. By 1900, he had acquired such fame as a builder that he was commissioned to build organs for the principal cathedrals, such as Seville, Oviedo, Santander and Valladolid, this last city being the place where the reform of religious music began. The presence of musicians such as Goicoechea and Otaño in this last city was to have positive influence on the installation of the five instruments in a short space of time.Downloads
