The Arab rebellions and their historical bases in the use of technology
Abstract
Arab countries are living through a series of rebellions that are setting many precedents as far as the interconnectivity of events, the immediacy of information and the use of internet for Communications both within and with the outside world. Nobody could foresee the downfall in only two weeks of regimes that had held on to power for decades. This is due to the tremendous acceleration of events caused by the use of new technologies, which while not igniting the protests, ensured that news of them spread more quickly and efficiently, until in the end they precipitated an end.
