Abstract
Topics like the fall of Charles IV, the rise of Joseph I, the Peninsular War or the Cadiz Cortes have strongly arisen among historians because of the second centenary they are commemorating. Through five different chapters related to the year 1808 in Spain, this article studies the most significant historiographical contributions suggested since the last decade. In this essay, we also focus on the main debates and some aspects that we consider in need of future research.Downloads
