The canons of the collegiate church of Salvador in the 18th century
Abstract
The prosopographical study of the clergy allows us to analyse a very specific group of individuals from the closest perspective possible. On this occasion, we will apply this methodology to a group of a little more than fifty individuals who made up the chapter of the collegiate church of Salvador, the second capitular institution of the city of Seville. Thus, the objective of this research is to throw some light on the urban clergy in the eighteenth century.
