Approach to The Bourbon Military Care System During The War of The Spanish Succession. The Catalan Front, 1705-1714
Abstract
During the War of the Spanish Succession (1702-1715) thousands of soldiers were involved not only in the battlefields but also in the besiegements that took place in different cities and fortresses. These men lived their daily routine in the battlefield through all kinds of shortages towards their basic needs which made them demand a sanitary assistance. In this research study we will analyse how the Borbonic Military Commandment operated in the Catalan front regarding this matter. Basically, our aim is to shed a light on the hospital structure at the time and how they were organized. Also, we aim to know which kind of attention these soldiers ended up having. We will also go through the different stages of the conflict which is a key factor to get to know all the processes mentioned before.Downloads
