Abstract
The history of the presence of the Italian aristocracy in the Eighteenth Century Spanish army is a neglected history. This work analyzes the persistence of Italy’s great noble families in the Spanish Bourbon armies, their origin and the political and social causes of the duration of a special relationship between the Italian noble houses and the court of Madrid.Downloads
