The relationship among journalists and sportswomen in the olympycs into the multimedia era
Abstract
Journalism is changing continuously, and technological and labor issues do not allow us to foresee a clear future. The arising of multimedia items in the newsrooms, besides the flowering of media departments and webmasters, have modified the traditional relationship between journalists and sources. Personal interactions are lost, and this could be damage to emerging markets, such as women's sports.
Tokyo 2020 is due to be held in 2021, and this paper will check the relationship among Diario ABC journalists and the Spanish Olympic sportswomen since 1972, in order to find a non-damaging status for the future.
