Milan and the bourgeoisie destined not to struggle. Teorema by Pier Paolo Pasolini and La vita agra by Luciano Bianciardi between literature and cinema
Abstract
This paper aims to investigate the relationships between the two works that appeared almost simultaneously in the sixties and were later adapted for film. A comparison will be made between novels and films that were inspired by them to establish points of contact as well as significant reworkings. Moreover, this paper intends to explain how cinema could give fame not only to such works but to their authors in a better way than narrative writing did.
