Destino de Ícaro: presencia de un mito clásico en la poesía de Aníbal Núñez
Abstract
Like many other recent or contemporary Spanish poets, Aníbal Núñez (Salamanca, 1944-1987) often recurred to the characters of Classical mythology in his texts. This paper particularly traces the figure of Icarus, here associated with three key aspects of Núñez’s poetics (and ethics): the dynamics of ascent and fall typical of love; the difficult place of the poet in capitalist societies; the absence of myth as guarantee of transcendental values in opposition to what Gilbert Durand called «the banal mythology» and «the overexploited imaginary» of our time.Downloads
