Abstract

This article describes the Re-Cordis. Memory and Emotion behind bars project, wich is part of the ALETHEIA. Art, art therapy, trauma and emotional memory, project, at the Complutense University of Madrid. The main objective of the project is: to provide a safe and secure therapeutic space, which allows new relational experiences and emotional exploration through movement and artistic creation and that contribute to mitigate the effects of psychic trauma, through the creative processes. We propose the development of an Action Research, through intervention, from art therapy and dance therapy, with adult men, diagnosed with severe mental illness, interned in the Madrid 3 Penitentiary Center, and part of the comprehensive program of care for the sick Mental Health Services (PAIEM), of the Ministry of the Interior.
