Focus and Scope

The annual Arteterapia. Papeles de arteterapia y educación artística para la inclusión social journal (ISSN 1886-6190, ISSN-e 1988-8309) is a pioneering publication both in Spain and in Latin America featuring studies that tackle different aspects of art therapy (clinical, educational, social and cultural) and any fields seeking greater social inclusion through artistic media and artistic education. Consequently, it is intended for anyone from the field of art, psychology, medicine, psycho-analysis, social education or plastic arts who are interested in artistic education as a means of human development and inclusion. Its dossiers look at emerging topics and new spaces where art is understood as a means of psycho-social development.

In the field of arts education for inclusion and art therapy, special emphasis will be placed on research papers related to plastic and visual media, although proposals related to other artistic languages such as dance, music and theatre, as well as their therapeutic aspects, may also be considered.
