The influence of an Arabic poem translated by Conde de Noroña in Duque de Rivas’ production. “Mirage” as a lost hope
Abstract
Mirages in general are a phenomenon of the desert, and we find it very often in Arabic literature referring to the lost illusion. This idea can be found in the poems of Duque de Rivas (Angel de Saavedra). There is a possibility that this idea were transferred to the Spanish poet through several Arabic texts translated to Spanish and to some other languages, especially Poesías Asiáticas by Conde de Noroña.Downloads
