More on the Creation of Adam in the Koran

Abstract

There are several Greek and Slavic versions of the apocalyptic pseudoepigraphon known as The Third Book of Baruch. In the Russian “short” version there is a passage which establishes an astonishing resonance with what the Koran says about the creation of Adam, his veneration by the angels and the rebellion of Samael/Sanatael/Iblīs.
