Abstract
The Holy League is a play by Lope de Vega whose action recreates the Ottoman Empire’s defeat in the naval battle of Lepanto (1571). The play reflects the image of the Islamic World between 16th and 17th century Spain. Lope de Vega transmits to the audience of the time religious and political conception based on the opposition to Islam.Downloads
