Hospitality in the ´Uyūn al-Ajbār of Ibn Qutayba: The book of food
Abstract
The intention of this study is to deepen the concept of Arab hospitality by analyzing prose and verse news (ajbār), both in prose and verse, collected in the adab compilation ´Uyūn al-Ajbār (Florilegium of news) by the distinguished 9th century Iraqui polygraph Ibn Qutayba, specifically, the book dedicated to food, the Kitāb al-ṭa´ām (The book of food). The Spanish translation of these news, done by the author, is also included.Downloads
