We are pleased to announce that Amaltea. Journal of Myth Criticism has renewed the FECYT quality stamp in the 9th edition of the evaluation of the editorial and scientific quality of academic journals of 2025. In addition, Amaltea has also obtained the Mention of Good Editorial Practices in Gender Equality.
Between the 26th and 30th of October 2026, the “IX International Conference on Myth Criticism: Myth and Woman” will be held at Complutense University of Madrid.
This Conference intends to address the connections between myth and women throughout the centuries; with significant focus on the present day, not only from a theoretical framework, but also a practical one. We aim to comprehend the key role of women inside the mythological universe, because without them it would not exist.
The deadline for submission is the 15th of May 2026 through the form available in the Conference’s website. All papers will be evaluated based on the selection criteria determined by the scientific committee. They will be published in volumes 19 (2027) and 20 (2028) of Amaltea. Journal of Myth Criticism.
