Abstract
Recientemente fallecido, Paul Ricoeur (1913-2005) pasa por ser uno de los grandes pensadores del siglo XX, al haber elaborado un sistema hermenéutico completo válido para cualquier texto narrativo. Sin embargo, comienza su andadura siguiendo las tesis fenomenológicas. En su primera obra mayor —Le volontaire et l’involontaire (1950) realizaba un análisis fenomenológico de la voluntad y todavía continuaría esta línea en L’homme faillible, que es la primera parte de su libro Finitude et culpabilité (1960)1.
