The Naked Woman: Metamorfosis by Decapitación
Abstract
The literature of «the outsiders» opened new horizons in the panorama of Uruguayan narrative, which was dominated primarily by realism. An important author in the line of the «oustiders» which begins with Lautréamont, is Armonía Sommers, whose first book, La mujer desnuda (The Naked Woman, 1950), stands out as an exercise in literary creativity in which Rebeca Linke arrives at a form of selfknowledge free from conventions and ties of all kinds.Downloads
