Rubén Darío visto por Emilio Rodríguez Mendoza
Abstract
This study offers a critical commentary on the relations between the Chilean writer Emilio Rodríguez Mendoza and Rubén Darío, and a facsimile reproduction of a chapter from the Chilean’s book Remansos del tiempo (1929), which was also included in ¡Como si fuera ayer! (1922), where Rodríguez Mendoza mentions this matter. These relations were somewhat conflictive, due to the dissatisfaction felt by the Chilean for the prologue which Darío, in answer to the author’s petition, dedicated to his book of short stories Gotas de absintio (1895).
