Representation of pain in the colombian family narrative
Abstract
The present article explores the importance that the concept of family has in all types of Colombian narrative meta-genres from the XIX century until now. The three analyzed works –Morir con papá (1997) by Óscar Collazos, Cómo maté a mi padre (2020) by Sara Jaramillo Klinkert, and Del otro lado del jardín (2009) by Carlos Framb– show, in an evident way, how the hitman violence, the huge pain of losing family, and the distress caused by the suicide abyss are usual marks in this type of literature, directly influenced y in the readers’ consciousness.
