Abstract

This paper studies the philosophical and literary affinities between the works of Jorge Luis Borges and that of Gilbert Keith Chesterton. In the first part, the main philosophical affinities are presented, following the four basic moments of philosophical thought: cognitive or theory of knowledge, physics or ontology, ethics and politics. In the second part, the main literary affinities are exposed, focusing on style traits, themes and motifs, and narrative techniques.
