The cultural newspaper "La Brasa", an area of exchanges in North-western Argentina
Abstract
This study analyzes eight printings of a newspaper published in Santiago del Estero (Argentina) between 1927 and 1928 by the cultural association called La Brasa. It is proposed to trace through the study of texts and the analysis of its production conditions, the density that the local cultural production had reached. At the same time, it studies the construction of a confluence and exchange space with multiple writers, painters, sculptors, poets and scientists, with their groups and their publishers, circulating for and from a peripheral space as was the city of Santiago del Estero at 1920. Therefore this study implies the purpose to develope a sociology of culture in Argentina less conditioned in its contents by the organization of the movement and consecration of cultural goods and producers, centered in the country's capital.Downloads
