An unending travel to the past. Juan Villoro by El testigo
Abstract
Juan Villoro transforms writing and life of the Mexican poet Ramón López Velarde in the El testigo's plot. El testigo is a metafiction that reflects about Mexican literature and culture. Julio Valdivieso comes to his country and follows the poet's steps. He finishes finding himself. The future seems a travel to the pass. The novel rescue the value of the province as nation's metaphor. Julio, a sort of Juan Preciado, accept the destruction of archives and the impossibility of witness. His fate is the desert among dead and violence.Downloads
