The work of Rubén Darío in the juvenile trial of Mario Vargas Llosa
Abstract
Dario's imprint is deep enough that in the second half of the twentieth century his figure continues to be reviewed by the greats of Hispanic-American literature. An example of these are the comments and reflections made by Nobel Prize winner Mario Vargas Llosa, who already mentioned him in El pez en el agua, where Vargas Llosa explains how he discovered Darío "essential and torn, the founder of modern poetry" in a seminar given by Luis Alberto Sánchez in 1956.Downloads
