In the verbena of Madrid: from' Rubén!' to' Unamuno', topics and writers of Spain finisecular in the chronicles of Ventura García Calderón
Abstract
The link between uprooting and cosmopolitanism was developed with special clairvoyance by Ventura García Calderón in an essay he dedicated to Rubén Darío in the prologue he wrote for the book Pages Choisies, with texts by the Nicaraguan and published in 1918. This uprooting is also revisited by the Peruvian in his chronicles on the writers of' 98 and, especially, in those dedicated to Miguel de Unamuno. Thanks to the texts dedicated to one or the other, the figures of Darío and Unamuno are united under the gaze of García CalderónDownloads
