Rubén Darío in the decadence of the monarchies
Abstract
Ruben Darío's opinions on royalty are sporadic, but significant, in the whole of his work. Poetry and narrative bring together a topic and a sometimes critical concept of the monarchy. However, the essays featuring Pedro II of Brazil, Amelia of Portugal, Alfonso XIII and regent María Cristina are more interesting.
