“The Creaking Scafollding”. Study of Emilio Adolfo Westphalen’s literary translations
Abstract
Emilio Adolfo Westphalen, a hardly researched author in spite of being an important person in Peruvian and Spanish-American poetry, is known by his work as poet and essay-writer, and he is also known by his labour at head of Las Moradas and Amaru reviews. However, his translations works have been completely unnoticed. This paper, the first which analyzes that, fixes his poetic theory about literary translation. The paper emphasizes also the concomitant nature of literary writing and translation.Downloads
