About formal constructions: diachronic, didactic and semantic approaches.
Abstract
The issue About formal constructions: diachronic, didactic and semantic approaches proposes to revisit proverbial speech and semi-fixed constructions from new angles. Thus, this monographic issue will endeavor to study proverbs and fixed expressions from a diachronic point of view as to their translation and as to their syntactic construction.
The titles of paintings are also object of study as short forms which contain an underlying polyphony, playing between the image and the text.
French constructions such as Tout sauf X also have semantic and syntactic features that bring them closer to the sentence formulas.
In summary, we aim to question the formal constructions of French, in several states of language, in order to advance in the definition of a vast and heterogeneous category.
