Motivating Generation Z: Pop-ups in the FLE classroom
Abstract
This study analyses how pedagogic aims have been altered by the introduction of new technologies used in Western societies and specifically focuses on the use of pop-ups in motiving teenage FLE (French as a Foreign Language) leaners. Having outlined a theoretical framework, it will then examine the results of a task-based learning activity in which FLE students designed an advertising campaign integrating the knowledge of technology acquired during the didactic sequence. Finally, it will highlight the fact that integrating new technologies during each stage of the academic project is fundamental in promoting active participation and collaboration in the learning environment.
