Mythological Machine and the Culture of the Political Right in the Epistemological Proposal of Furio Jesi
Abstract
This paper studies the development and the theoretical meaning of Furio Jesi’s epistemological position regarding the problem of myth. The study of this epistemological position requires a brief analysis of its relationship with the preceding myth science and the configuration of the epistemological model of the “mythological machine”, as well as its critical and political power. Finally, the paper will analyze the application that Jesi gave to his theoretical model in the study of neofascism in Cultura di destra.
