The Philosophical Critique of the Present in Texts by Arturo Andrés Roig after Exile
Abstract
We reflect on the exercise of philosophical criticism carried out by Arturo Andrés Roig, through the analysis of his writings produced after 1984, upon his return from exile. We focus our attention on two texts in which the critical exercise is articulated between the analysis of the present and the History of ideas, considering this discipline also as a form of philosophical criticism of what happens, insofar as it allows incorporating into the look at the present categorical schemes bequeathed by the own tradition of thought. We work especially - though not exclusively - from “Considerations for «a popular philosophy of democracy»” (2002) and “Neoliberalism and our philosophy” (2011)
