Good Living as an Alternative to a Civilizing Model in Crisis
Abstract
The idea of Good Living according to the indigenous movements of Latin America (Abya Yala) is an ancestral worldview of life that has its origin in traditional knowledge and practices. It refers to living in harmony with human beings and nature, from a non-egocentric or anthropocentric view, which recognizes our interdependence and eco-dependence. This notion has re-emerged with force in the last decades as an alternative to the capitalist system, to the myth of development and economic growth, playing an important role in social movements and governmental initiatives of several Latin American States.Downloads
