Abstract

In this paper, I analyse one of the roots of Spinoza´s Philosophy: his critical reflection on the means that Descartes uses to define and interweave the concepts of will, freedom and ego. The radicality of such a critique, considering the historical success of Cartesian Metaphysics, may be the reason that explains the shadowed position Spinozism has occupied in Modernity.
