Foucault 1648
Abstract
This paper intends to prove the discrepancies that separate the meanings of archeology and genealogy described by Agamben from those employed by Foucault during his last courses. This aim will be approached from the context of the transformation undergone by the European order around 1648, when the configuration of the classical episteme and the transition from power to government both took place. According to argument, Foucault would still be a representative of an open program for the human and social sciences while Agamben’s project would lead to a de-contextualized hermeneutics.Downloads
