DECADENCE AND PLURALISM IN SAAVEDRA FAJARDO'S THINKING, THE BREAK OF THE 17TH CENTURY
Abstract
This essay analyzes the different crises in whose core Saavedra Fajardo’s work should be classified: the financial, the military, and the national conscience crises; the crisis of unity and plurality of the new Europe that prepares the rise of peace in Westphalia and the origin of the ius publicum europaeum. All of it provides Saavedra with the capacity of precursor of thinkers who demanded a reformation or a regeneration of Spain.Downloads
