LA RELEGITIMACION DE LA DEMOCRACIA POR MAX WEBER. ASPECTOS DE LA RETORICA DE LA REVISION CONCEPTUAL
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to illustrate Max Weber’s defense of democracy. Through a technique of conceptual redescription, like the one developed by Quentin Skinner, and based upon Weber’s both major and journalistic writings, the paper shows how Weber was indeed a real advocate of parliamentary democracy. His political nominalism put him apart from other contemporary champions of democracy, but his analysis of democratization and bureaucratization as apposed movements is still valid.Downloads
