Abstract

Hores en blanc. Notes d’un estudiant que va morir boig is a singular work in the literature of S. J. Arbó. It is for the modernity of his approach, the way it is told, the themes and mutations experienced throughout the literary life of trees. And there were seven editions in the author's lifetime, five in Catalan and two in Spanish, covering the entire literary career of Sebastià Juan Arbó (1933-1981). The aim of this paper is to place the work in its literary context, and especially to observe the changes that occurred throughout the editions. By viewing these changes can be seen in the willingness and ability to adapt the work according Arbó overall evolution of the narrative and the needs of the moment.
