Abstract
In spite of the success that Jean Paul's narratives enjoyed in the past, these have fallen into almost complete oblivion in terms of reading audience. Based on the two recurrent metaphors through which critics approach the texts by this author, that of dreaming and that of music, this article takes the novel Fledling years as a leading case to discuss Jean Paul´s actuality, starting from a description of his cultural project.Downloads
