Swiss German Literature in the European Context: Elements of Rupture in the Literary Discourse of a New Generation
Abstract
Swiss literary production continues to be a lively one following a series of debates and controversias generated by the death of M. Frisch and F. Dürrenmatt. However, analysis of the literary works of young generation writers already shows a number of elements that, even taking into account the relevance of certain specifically Swiss features, enable prose from the Confederation to be analysed within the much greater context of European prose.
