Abstract
Starting from cuir [queer] studies, this articles offers a rereading of the Galician culture of the monstrous from the category of analysis of wolves/lycanthropes. The use of her figure allows us to rescue and activate an archive of sexual and gender dissidence in Galicia, reevaluating the cultural impositions of hegemony and representations of otherness. These cuir monsters cross the limits of order and take us to a space of transgression against normativity, a space of resistance. This article is an approach located in Galicia that offers a dialogue between the local and the global.
